The marketing strategies for 'Bridget Jones' Baby' included using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages with direct links to the cinema so audiences could find out more information about the film and book tickets to see the film and hence using cross media convergence. They created a synergous campaign by having Renee Zellweger appear on front cover of magazines with a similar target to audience to that of 'Bridget Jones' Baby' such as 'Vogue' 'People' 'Entertainment' 'Red' and 'Mindfood' to promote the film and create a buzz around the film.
Renee Zellweger also starred on Jonathan Ross to further promote the film. Furthermore, Ed Sheeran had a cameo role in the film and posted a photo on Instagram about the film in the lead up to the film being released which created excitement within the fans and made the fans want to see this music to see their favourite artists. The photo had the caption, 'Spent the day being an actor in the new Bridget Jones movie. Loved it, you're gonna love it too.
